Station 100 was dispatched for a reported garage fire at 102 Worthington Avenue.  A first arriving police officer indicated that there was smoke showing from the garage.  Engine 151 arrived first and established a water supply.  Engine 152 completed the water supply and provided backup for the attack crew.  The fire was extinguished within minutes using a single 1¾” hose line.

Crews went to work opening up the garage while Class A foam was used to extinguish any remaining hot spots.  The fire was found to have originated in a mattress that was stored in the garage.   The Mahoning Township Volunteer Fire Department also responded on the assignment.
