New Sparky Robot Bringing Fire Prevention Lessons this Fall
One of the ways that we have educated the youth of our community has been through our Sparky the Fire Dog robot. For more than 20 years, Sparky has been a fixture at fire prevention events, community gatherings, school fire safety lessons, and even the occasional birthday party! This year, we are excited to announce that Sparky will be getting a much-needed “makeover.”
Neshannock VFC obtained a grant for $15,000 in late 2022 from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program to replace the lovable robot character with an upgraded version. The same recognizable firefighting canine will now feature a shiny new paint job, eye-catching lighting, and a host of new robotic features!
Our fire prevention staff is eager to show off “New Sparky” during our numerous fire prevention events coming up this fall.
