Project Description
Put into service in 2014, this rescue unit is equipped to handle many types of emergencies. In addition to a myriad of hand tools, Rescue 150’s compartments are loaded with hydraulic extrication equipment, stabilization gear, rope rigging, and heavy lifting airbags. An 8-cylinder cascade system provides breathing air and pneumatic equipment power for a crew of up to 12 responders. A fully integrated Class B foam firefighting system allows this unit to extinguish flammable liquid fires. Front and rear winches, along with a portable crane system add capability for structural collapse and confined space rescue. Mounted atop the Seagrave chassis, the Marion rescue body features walk-in access to additional crew seating and a command post area. In addition to responding on all structure fires, this unit responds to motor vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, rope rescue, water rescue emergencies, trench collapse incidents, and other specialized rescue incidents.
